Quarterly Meetings

We conduct more formal meetings four times per year. All meetings are open to the public, prospective members, and guests. They are a great way to get to know some members before you join the club.

• Spring Into Paddling - this event usually takes place on the third Saturday of March, a week after Canoecopia. In 2026, it will be on March 21. The meeting will be held at the Ironworks Building at Goodman Community Center. After introductions, welcome, and club business review by our President, there will be three instructional sessions on various topics to help us have a great paddling season. There will also be a paddling/camping gear sale/swap.
• Independence Day Picnic/Paddle - our club meets every year on July 4 for a meeting and picnic at Token Creek County Park. Members and guests paddle various sections of Token Creek before and after the meeting and picnic, usually starting or ending at the park.
• Fall Quarterly Meeting - this meeting takes place on the first Saturday in October at Goodman Community Center. In 2026, it will be on October 3. It has essentially the same format as the Spring Meeting, with one of the sessions being a review of the completed paddling season with photo slideshow and videos taken by members on the various outings.
• Holiday Party - our last meeting of the year is the annual Holiday Party on the second Saturday in December at Goodman Community Center. In 2026, it will take place on December 12. There is a potluck dinner followed by club elections and meeting. We finish the year off with a white elephant gift exchange that is usually quite entertaining.
